Lynette studied at Edinburgh College of Art. In 2011 she resigned from teaching in secondary school to concentrate on being a full time artist. Her studio and gallery is at Kinghorn Railway Station. This building was adopted and restored by Lynette, with the help of her husband Douglas, to become a successful work and teaching space.
The studio has enabled Lynette to work on a much larger scale. Mediums include watercolour, oil and acrylic. Subject matter includes botanical and landscape scenes.
